'Grand Traverse' is a "hybrid" hazelnut tree with small nuts and adequate blanching after roasting, making it suitable for a variety of confectionary and baked good applications as well as for direct eating once roasted. Most kernels are 9 – 11 mm in diameter with an average weight of 0.9 grams and 44% kernel by weight In New Jersey.
Pairs well and serves as pollinizer in a production orchard with 'The Beast', 'Somerset', 'Raritan' and 'Monmouth'
